Pet Products: Health Food, Tools & Gear
Transformation Pet Center was the first outlet in Tucson to offer healthy choices in dog and cat food, starting back in 1983 — way before health foods for pets became a trend. Since then we have constantly examined our choices and kept a critical eye on what manufacturers offer. Unlike the large superstores, we keep a small inventory that turns over monthly, so everything on the shelf is fresh stock.
Health foods for pets
Current selections have included: Wysong (“the thinking person’s pet food” — our flagship food, carried as a full line), Breeders’ Choice Pinnacle, Natural Balance Ultra Premium and Duck & Potato, OHM Wellness Fish & Sweet Potato, Innova Canine & Feline, and the Eagle Holistic dry cat food line.
Grooming products and tools
We have chosen grooming aids that have proved worthy in our own grooming operation — and we can take the guess work out of purchasing tools, helping you select what will work best for you and your pets. Attention groomers: we carry Arius-Eickert fine shears and Scissorman Therapeutic shears. Give us a call and we will schedule a visit with our tool box full of scissors — we can have a scissor party! While we are there, we can also demo the Bathing Beauty recirculating bathing system. Bring your tub out of the Dark Ages!
Tick and flea control
Years ago we became uncomfortable with the toxic chemicals standard in dips. Our commitment: find and offer only the products we consider the least toxic and the most effective. You will not find “strong” petrochemical products here — and you will not find useless “natural” fakes either. Our products have been used on our own pets.
Gear: collars, harnesses & leads
Check out the Cetacea “Step-in” harness — a fool-proof design with real safety features, where the shoulder piece adjusts independently of the girth piece. As close to escape-proof as we can get. The Cetacea Martingale collars wear like a regular collar but limit-slip behind the ears if the dog puts on the brakes and tries to duck out. No more standing there with an empty leash while your dog runs off.
